Expand your Teaching Techniques at our Upcoming Instructional Skills Workshop

Work in a fun, safe environment with colleagues from across the college, enhance your teaching effectiveness and learn how to make your classes more interactive and engaging. You will participate in group sessions guided by experienced facilitators, deliver three ‘mini-lessons’ and receive written and oral feedback from your peers, who will be the “students” for your lessons. Whether you are a new or experienced instructor, the ISW is an excellent opportunity to try new teaching strategies and techniques.

Upon completion of this workshop, you will:

  • increase your competence and confidence in the classroom, 
  • expand your teaching techniques and strategies, 
  • enhance your feedback and evaluative skills, and 
  • receive a certificate recognized across North America.

Tuesdays, 5:30pm – 8:30pm
Note: this offering of the ISW takes place weekly over six weeks.

    We do not offer an online version of the ISW. However, we encourage you to watch for the Course Design for Online and Blended Learning (CDOBL) mini-workshop that we will be offering in 2023.

    Thank you for this opportunity. I hope to be a part of this workshop, but because I live in Langley, the online version of the workshop (if there is any) is better for my situation. May I ask to be included in the online version if you offer the workshop online please?
