This glossary provides the college community with standardized definitions for a variety of terms related to teaching, learning, course design and course delivery. It is the result of extensive research into the literature on pedagogical approaches, course design and course delivery models as well as collaboration among TCDC, EdTech, the UDL working group, and several faculty members from various departments at Langara. Consultations continue and more terms will be added over the coming months.  

Note: The definitions of some terms may differ slightly from those used at other post-secondary institutions as different institutions are taking different approaches to defining terms.
