Unveiling the Langara Teacher Trading Cards

On March 8th we gathered together to reveal the first-ever collection of Teacher Trading Cards, featuring six Langara instructors. We’d like to thank everyone who attended, especially our all-stars who had a huge role in making this project come to life!

What are the Teacher Trading Cards?

Each card features a photo and brief introduction of a Langara instructor, with their best teaching activity explained on the back. The QR code links to a video, where you can watch them explain their activity in more detail. These cards are a wonderful way to get to know other teachers at Langara and learn something new from them. This round of cards featured Antonella Alves (International Business), Ginette Dubé (Latin American Studies), Jessie Smith, Eric Stewart (Professional Photography), Richard Wong (Physics & Astromony), and Erin Yorke (Education Assistant Program).

If you missed our unveiling event and would like a pack of cards for yourself, you can still pick them up by visiting TCDC on the second floor of C-Building. You can also watch the videos of each instructor here.

Do you know a future All-Star? Send us an email at tcdc@langara.ca and let us know! We would love to feature them in the next round.

This project was made possible by the Kaleidoscope Fund, with special thanks to Julian Prior and Craig Madokoro for producing the videos, and Bonnie Edwards for the card layout and design.
