Since ChatGPT was launched in November 2022, higher education channels have lit up with discussions about the implications of artificial intelligence (AI) for teaching and learning. Here we look at what AI content generators are, what implications access to them might bring, and how post-secondary educators and institutions might respond to them. Scroll down to access a Padlet where faculty and staff are invited to share resources, ideas and questions. A curated set of background materials can also be found at the bottom of this page.
At TCDC we recognize that artificial intelligence tools are evolving. We are working in collaboration with Langara’s Student Conduct and Academic Integrity and Ed Tech departments to keep resources up to date.
We welcome faculty and staff to get in touch with us for support in adapting their pedagogy in response to this emerging technology.
