What’s new with the Langara Student Success Course?

The Langara Student Success Course (LSSC) team is proud to announce that we now have an instructor-focused page on the TCDC website. Our page was inspired by the liquid syllabus format, which allows for dynamic content delivery through multimedia. Take two minutes to watch our promo video and keep scrolling to know more about the support we offer to faculty and instructional staff, the impact the course has had on instructors and students, and how to access the LSSC employee preview on Brightspace. To view our liquid syllabus, visit our new Langara Student Success Course (LSSC) page.

The LSSC has undergone exciting updates. In the past year, we have made revisions and updates to the curriculum in partnership with our past and present students and Langara experts from a variety of areas, such as the Indigenous Education and Services, the Centre for Intercultural Education, and Langara Global among others. These changes have yielded a more accessible, inclusive, and relevant course for our students. We have also significantly expanded our Student Ambassador Program. We offer basic training and lots of encouragement to our student ambassadors who respond to students’ questions on the LSSC discussion forum, host virtual information sessions, mentor new LSSC students, and much more.

The LSSC instructional team would like to invite all instructors to attend our upcoming one-hour information session over Zoom on June 2, 2022, at 10:30 am. We will give you a brief tour of the LSSC on Brightspace, share with you some updates about our curriculum, introduce you to our Student Ambassador Program, and answer any questions you might have about incentivizing the LSSC in your classes. Register for this LSSC one-hour information session via the sign-up sheet.
