Curriculum Consultant
James joined TCDC in 2018 as a Program Review Facilitator and enjoyed facilitating conversations with departments about how their programs, courses, and student supports could best meet the needs of Langara’s diverse learners. His passion for mentoring faculty and supporting students, especially those from different cultural backgrounds, comes from a long teaching career at liberal arts colleges as a former department chair in Modern Languages. In 2020, he took on a temporary role as Virtual Learning Support Consultant to help students access online learning supports during the pandemic. Since then, James has returned to TCDC as an Educational Initiatives Facilitator and now as a Curriculum Consultant. His pedagogical interests include Universal Design for Learning and Open Education pedagogy.
