3D Printed Shelby Cobra – Electric Automobile

What I find most amazing ( besides printing a car), is the actual finish of the 3D printed body. The Shelby Cobra is a famous sports car that was first built in 1962 by Carroll Shelby and his team using a ford motor. This version is build by an amazing team at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. They built the auto in six weeks! Have a look here at this video of the project… Oak Ridge National Laboratory >

Researchers Have Found A Faster Way To 3D Print

Researchers at Penn State have figured out a way to 3D print using a 5-axis system. The new concept would eliminate the need for supports, which are wasteful and time consuming to print. Supports also can leave small artifacts that require post finishing of a 3D print. Check out John Biggs full story here at Gizmodo >
