Research – Trailrider

The Trailrider research partnership between Toby’s Cycle Works and Langara College will investigate the effectiveness of a retrofit electric propulsion system to the Trailrider off-road wheelchair. The addition of electric propulsion is intended to increase the range of terrain available to the Trailrider “pushers” (those pushing the device) and broaden the scope of users (those familiar with or new to using the device) by making the Trailrider easier to propel over long distances.
