Langara College proudly invites students, faculty, and staff to explore the dynamic and inclusive environment of the Langara Makerspace—a vibrant hub for innovation, experimentation, and hands-on learning. Whether you’re a seasoned creator or a curious beginner, the Makerspace is designed to empower you with the tools and knowledge to bring your ideas to life.

No Experience Required
You don’t need prior technical expertise to get started. Our weekly workshops are tailored to beginners and provide guided instruction on using a wide range of fabrication technologies. Best of all, access to the Makerspace and its workshops is completely free for the Langara community.

State-of-the-Art Equipment
The Makerspace is equipped with an impressive array of tools and machines to support diverse creative projects, including:

  • Filament and resin 3D printers
  • Laser cutters and engravers for wood and metal
  • Industrial sewing machines and a felt loom
  • A CNC metal mill for precision machining
  • Vinyl cutter & press
  • Hand tools, screw guns, brad point tack guns, and upholstery staple guns
