Langara College proudly invites students, faculty, and staff to explore the dynamic and inclusive environment of the Langara Makerspace—a vibrant hub for innovation, experimentation, and hands-on learning. Whether you’re a seasoned creator or a curious beginner, the Makerspace is designed to empower you with the tools and knowledge to bring your ideas to life.
️ No Experience Required
You don’t need prior technical expertise to get started. Our weekly workshops are tailored to beginners and provide guided instruction on using a wide range of fabrication technologies. Best of all, access to the Makerspace and its workshops is completely free for the Langara community.
State-of-the-Art Equipment
The Makerspace is equipped with an impressive array of tools and machines to support diverse creative projects, including:
- Filament and resin 3D printers
- Laser cutters and engravers for wood and metal
- Industrial sewing machines and a felt loom
- A CNC metal mill for precision machining
- Vinyl cutter & press
- Hand tools, screw guns, brad point tack guns, and upholstery staple guns

We maintain a robust inventory of upcycled materials, including vinyl billboard sheets, Langara-branded banners, upholstery samples, and assorted fabrics—perfect for eco-conscious makers and design innovators.
