Where should I store my media files?

We recommend keeping a copy of any media uploaded to Kaltura in another location, just in case. If you need to re-download media, you can find instructions here.

Where to store your files will will likely be determined by the size of your files. Recommended options include:

  • Computer hard drive
  • Langara OneDrive (IT’s recommendation)
  • USB storage drive (flash drive or external hard drive)

We do not recommend storing your files on Langara’s J Drive.

On both Windows and MacOS, these directories might be hidden by default. Click here to learn how to un-hide hidden files and directories on Windows, and click here to un-hide files and directories on MacOS.
