Important: change in streaming video provider–please check links

The Library recently changed off-campus streaming media servers, as our former provider (IRIS Education) is going out of business. We have now migrated all impacted videos to the new streaming provider, McIntyre Streaming.

The Library catalogue records to these videos have all been updated to direct people to the new urls. There shouldn’t be any access issues if you have linked to the Library catalogue record for videos. You will need to update direct links to videos or embedded videos in courseware/D2L.

The videos that are impacted are all online here: McIntyre Streaming

Not impacted by this migration are videos from our streaming collections Kanopy, Curio.ca, NFB, and Criterion on Demand.

*If you aren’t sure if your links are to the library catalogue or directly to the videos themselves, please double check now.*

Additionally, video URLS from following 4 pages will also be changed in the coming weeks:

An update will be sent when the individual URLs have changed; in the meantime you may wish to link to the general page rather than individual titles.

As a reminder of best practice, the library strongly recommends that people always link to the library catalogue record for any videos they use, since vendor URLs do sometimes change. The library catalogue should always be correct, as we have more immediate control over its contents.
