Learning Commons Fall 2014 Report

With services such as writing and research help, subject tutoring and bookable group study spaces, the Learning Commons continues to support students outside the classroom in one central location.  Some highlights of activities in the Learning Commons this past Fall term include:

  • Subject Tutoring – 621 student visits
  • Writing Centre – 1238 student visits
  • 327 students attended various academic and study skills workshops
  • As part of a promotional campaign, students were asked to rate the usefulness of their session in the Writing and Tutoring Centre.  90% of 146 respondents rated their session as useful.
