Featured Resource: The Complete National Geographic Collection

Get in touch with your inner Indiana Jones with one of our favorite resources:  The Complete National Geographic collection, a DVD-ROM archive of 120 years of National Geographic magazine.

The program begins in 1888, with the very first issue ever published, and includes all issues through 2009– over 1,400 issues with every article, map, diagram, and advertisement, and over 200,000 beautiful photographs.  Over a century of global adventure and history, all at the click of your mouse.

To access this resource, visit the Library’s Media area (behind the Check Out desk) and use the Multimedia Station on the far left.  Log onto the computer station using your Langara Computer Lab ID, and select The National Geographic icon located on the computer’s desktop.  You can then search by keyword, browse by subject or year, and much more.  Library staff are always nearby if you need help.
