Langara Library recently subscribed to Reference Canada, an electronic directory providing information on more than 1 million businesses in Canada, including addresses, contacts, number of employees, annual sales, and credit rating.
You can search or browse to get a list of businesses that match particular criteria, such as SIC codes at varying levels, location by city or postal code, size of employee base, the number of years in business, and sales volume.
This database will be helpful for students in career-related programs, who may need to connect with local businesses for practicum and/or informational interviews, such as those in Design Formation, Professional Photography, and Journalism.
The Library’s subscription is limited to one simultaneous user.
