Downloading e-books with Adobe Digital Editions (ADE):
To download e-books from Langara or other libraries, you need an Adobe account.
That ties the e-books you download to your ID rather than the computer or device.
To download e-books onto a computer, you also need to download Adobe Digital Editions, a free software program.
To download e-books directly onto iPad, tablet, smartphone, or e-reader, you DON’T need to download ADE software.
ADE can be helpful if you want to transfer e-books from your computer to your mobile device.
The first time you run ADE, you’ll be prompted to authorize the application by entering an Adobe ID.
- Create an ADE account
Click on Sign in. On the next page, click on Create Adobe Account. - Download ADE for your computer/laptop here
