TCDC Fall Book Club: Wayi Wah! Indigenous Pedagogies: An Act for Reconciliation and Anti-Racist Education

October 10, 2023 @ 4:00 PM - 5:15 PM PDT

Join our in-person book club on Tuesdays from 4:00pm to 5:15pm as we discuss and learn from Jo Chrona’s Wayi Wah! Indigenous Pedagogies: An Act for Reconciliation and Anti-Racist Education.

The book club hosts are Shawna Williams (TCDC) and Erin Smith (EDI Office). We are non-Indigenous, white women who are committed to reconciliation and Indigenization in our personal and professional lives, and we invite you to join us as we learn and grow together. We commence our five-week reading and learning journey on Tuesday, October 3 and end on Tuesday, October 31. At the midway point, on October 18, Jo Chrona is the featured speaker for the Indigenous Speaker Series. We would encourage book club participants to sign up for the talk which will inspire our discussions leading up to and following her talk.

Unlimited e-book access is available through and limited hard copies of the book are available through the TCDC library. The book is also available for purchase via Massy Books, Book Warehouse, Chapters, and Amazon. If you would like to borrow a print copy or if you have any questions, please contact us at tcdc@langara.ca.
