What are podcasts? Why use them in your teaching? What do you need to create a podcast for your students?

By the end of this workshop participants will be able to:

• Define what constitutes a ‘podcast’
• Describe the technologies involved in creating a podcast: hardware, software, RSS, client, aggregator, hosting platform etc.
• Identify appropriate use cases for podcasting in their teaching and/or students’ learning
• Summarise some of the research on podcasting in education
