Go2K: Exploring AI (ChatGPT) In Instructional Design: 5 Essential Strategies

Are your students distracted by smartphones? Students report increased dependence on electronic devices, which has been linked to social adjustment difficulties, academic underperformance, and mental health issues. This presentation addresses the impact of smartphone distraction on students, including social challenges, academic matters, and mental health concerns. It will explore the psychology of smartphone addiction and its effects on college students, offering six strategies to boost self-regulation and learning engagement. Additionally, it aims to equip faculty and staff with practical methods to help students manage their smartphone usage.
