This learning lab is designed for anyone creating content using visuals. This session will introduce AI platforms that have been proven effective in writing alternative text. Alternative text is a text description of visual content to ensure blind and visually impaired users do not miss out on information. Participants will learn what alternative text is and how AI can help start the process of writing alternative text. The session offers a blend of theory and practice, providing hands-on exercises to master the art of crafting prompts that yield precise and useful outcomes. For any content creator, this workshop will equip college instructors and staff with the skills to harness the potential of generative AI, paving the way for accessibility and inclusion.
