Langara’s Digital Media Creator (DMC) series of workshops is designed to help faculty and staff experiment with new ways of discovering, curating and conveying ideas using digital media. The purpose behind it is twofold:
To achieve the DMC Digital Badge you must complete a minimum of four modules, one of which must be Module One (Create/Engage/Share – Introduction to Digital Media Creator), unless you have taken this previously.
In this introductory first session of the Digital Media Creator (DMC) series we explore how digital media (images, audio and video) and multimodality has become essential to an engaged learning experience for students. We will also provide an overview of digital media content creation and remix culture, incorporating the key elements of UDL and digital accessibility. Attendees will get a chance to test drive our learning and reflection platform, PebblePad and learn how to share a variety of content types in Brightspace.
This session will take place online in Zoom.
Note: All Digital Media Creator series attendees must have registered for this prerequisite workshop ahead of participating in other DMC workshops (or have already taken it in previous years).
