Go2K: Addressing Concerns Of First-Year Students: Online Intervention Strategies & Resources

First-year students need extra attention and support before they even begin college, but how do we know what they need to start strong? This session will share recent data from one institution’s first-year student survey in which the question is asked, “What are your top concerns?” The data from the survey is then used in a variety of ways to normalize the challenging experiences that these students will face and to build just-in-time support.

In addition to ideas for deploying strategies at critical points of a first-year student’s college experience, this session will also share specially-curated content that can offload human resources for providing that support.
