The Langara Student Success Course (LSSC) prepares you for academic life at Langara and introduces you to key supports available on campus and online. The LSSC is available to you through your Langara Brightspace account – and it’s free!

Academic Integrity Resources

Integrity in academic work is central to all learning and is built on the principles of fairness, honesty, trust, respect, responsibility, and courage. Here are are a number of resources that can help you navigate academic integrity and get help with issues of research, writing, and citation. 

Accessibility Services

Accessibility Services works with students with disabilities to arrange appropriate support services on a case-by-case basis. Students can register to receive support with semester accommodations, alternate format books/materials, and other accessibility resources.

Peer Supported Learning

Peer Supported Learning (PSL) is an academic support program that provides informal study sessions led by senior students who have taken the class previously. Unlike peer tutors – peer support facilitators do not teach or tutor – they facilitate the study session.

Library Services

A great number of library resources are accessible online such as borrowing, reserves, AskAway Chat Service, reference help, assignment guides, subject librarians, e-books, databases, and streaming media.

Learning Commons & Tutoring

The Learning Commons is designed to be a one-stop shop for services and tools to help enhance your learning. All services are free and available to Langara students. At the Learning Commons you will find: research help, writing and subject tutoring, study skills workshops, and IT support.

Peer Wellness Support

The Peer Wellness Support Program offers wellness sessions to support student well-being through creating a safe, welcoming, and accessible environment for students to discuss their mental health and wellness. Students can book appointments throughout the week or attend drop-in sessions on Wellness Wednesdays. -- Wellness Wednesdays: Wellness session drop-in hours are from 11am-2:30pm. The drop-in session can accommodate up to 4 students at a time. Please note that students cannot pre-book drop-in times.

Mental Health & Well-being

It’s normal for you to feel stressed, overwhelmed, or worried about how COVID-19 will impact your studies, your health, and those around you. Here are resources to provide strategies for dealing with mental health, food security, and financial stress during this world health event.

Student Laptop Borrowing Program

As part of efforts to support students during the pandemic and transition to online learning, the bookstore and IT are working together to provide students with laptop loans. 30 laptops are available to be borrowed for the duration of one week or an entire semester. There is no charge to borrow a laptop and lending will occur on a first come, first serve basis.

Ask IT Knowledgebase

Find answers to your computer and information technology questions from the IT Knowledgebase. Common topics include how to activate your computer user ID, reset your Langara ID password, connect to Wifi, login to U-Pass Compass, or print. You can also submit an IT help ticket or make a Workday support request (student employment software).

Registrar & Enrolment Services

Registrar & Enrolment Services (RES) has suspended in-person transactions and moved services online. RES can help with enrolment, registering for courses, online student forms, and an on-campus dropbox for forms outside the Registrar's Office in the T building. Pease contact us at geninfo@langara.ca.
