Instructional Assistant, Langara Student Success Course
Gurinder joined TCDC as an instructional assistant for LSSC in July 2022. Her role supports the LSSC instructors and students. She has also been an instructor with Langara Continuing Studies since 2020. She has more than 6 years of teaching experience and holds a Masters in English Literature and a Provincial Instructor Diploma (PIDP) from Vancouver Community College. During her diploma program at VCC, some of the courses she had taken were in Curriculum Development, Assessment Design and Adult Learning theories, which motivated her desire to learn more about curriculum design, adult learning principles and so on. She is passionate about teaching and learning practices, which help improve adult learning (Pedagogy). Currently, she is enrolled in Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design at Royal Roads University.
