Curriculum Consultant
Alex joined TCDC as a Curriculum Consultant in November 2021. She comes to the department with more than a decade of teaching experience in higher education and digital content production.
As an instructor with Langara’s Journalism Department she had the opportunity to design, develop and implement digital journalism classes, both face-to-face and online. This served to stoke her enthusiasm for all things ed tech, allowing her to experiment with wikis, social media, blogs, virtual bulletin boards, e-portfolios, podcasting and video.
Alex earned a Masters in Communication and Culture from York University and a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design from Royal Roads University. She also completed a Graduate Diploma in Technology-enhanced Learning and Design with Royal Roads University in 2023.
Recently, she has been on an extended deep dive into generative artificial intelligence and has enjoyed supporting colleagues exploring the impacts of these technologies in their fields.
