Each year it seems to get more difficult to engage students in the learning process or invest in the daily habits that can help them succeed in college and beyond. The students we have on campus now have weathered a global pandemic near the end of their high school experience, and they are enrolling in college during a turbulent economic and social time. So it is no wonder they often want to check out and disengage from the onslaught of negative news and limited options for them after college. This webinar focuses on the potential issues that students bring to college and how they may negatively impact their well-being and success so that we can better understand why students seem less interested in connecting with others, actively learning, and diligently planning to reach their goals. It will also provide practical tips to help students develop coping and success strategies to lessen their disengagement (and disenchantment) with higher education and provide them with a pathway forward.
