Collaboration with the City of Richmond. Heritage/Upcycling/Digital Design and Fabrication

The Makerspace and the City of Richmond have been collaborating on and upcycling project aimed at retrofitting an AC unit into a highly visible heritage building utilizing recycled materials. Through digital modelling, laser cutting and hand assembly we have successfully designed, prototyped and installed a discreet adaptor for a AC unit that will fit in an exterior window yet be virtually invisible to the passerby. NOTE: it is installed in the window above!
