This is a great example/story of a manufacturer thinking outside of the box and utilizing the 3D technologies. We now have a NextEngine Ultra High Density 3D Scanner. This scanner can do small object with high accuracy. You can then take the 3D mesh, clean it up a bit and then 3D print it if you like. Come by and test it out!
A group of Japanese medical students had the full tour of the Langara Makerspace on April 15th. We printed finger casts for each student, and talked about how the new 3D printing technologies could be used by the medical professions.
