Thanks to everyone who submitted their creative ideas for the Institutional Repository Naming Contest, which ran through March and April. We received 148 submissions from staff and students across campus!

A panel of judges consisting of representatives from the Library, Langara’s Educational Technology (EdTech) department, and the Scholarly Activity Steering Committee unanimously selected the winning entry: LaIR (Langara Institutional Repository).

Congratulations to  Anna McAuliffe from the Dean’s Administration, who submitted the winning entry. A runner-up prize was awarded to Anne Dodds from the Office of the Dean of Arts. Both Anna and Anne received gift cards to Oakridge Centre.

The LaIR is now up-and-running and the inaugural collections can be viewed at: http://lc.arcabc.ca

Check in regularly as we will be adding more collections in the coming months.
