ESL Readers Reclassified

Have you ever thought to yourself, “I really wish it was easier to find a specific ESL reader on the shelf?” If so, your wish has come true.

Instead of being shelved by level, call numbers for the ESL readers now start with the “ESL” prefix, followed by the level of the reader, followed by the first three letters of the title.  So, for example, for this title the call number is now ESL 3 RIN.

You should see these reclassified ESL readers showing up on the shelves shortly, and Borrower Services staff are busily relabeling them now.  In the meantime, if you’re eager to see this new classification scheme in action, why not check out the new ESL kits, which combine readers with audio recordings for users to read along with.
