    We highly recommend that you submit this Quarantine Plan at least 14 days before your anticipated travel date but no earlier than 30 days.

    Due to changing travel restrictions, Quarantine Plans may not be reviewed if submitted more than 30 days before the planned travel date. Travel letters will not be issued if the Quarantine Plan is submitted more than 30 days before the planned travel date.

  • If you are a new student and your classes do not begin until after September 2021, you are not eligible to travel to Canada at this time. Travel to Canada should only be attempted after you have successfully registered into classes. Registration for Fall courses begins on June 21, 2021 for some programs. Attempts to travel to Canada before August 2021 may result in a refusal of entry at the border.

  • Travellers arriving on or after February 22 are required to stay for the first 3 nights of their total 14-day quarantine in a government-approved quarantine hotel at their own cost.

    Please read through Guidelines for Travellers to Canada for information about where you can stay, who can or cannot also be in the same location, etc. This information must be included in your Langara Quarantine Plan as well as your Quarantine Plan submission to the Government and you will be asked about this when you arrive in Canada.

  • Government-Approved Initial 3 Day Hotel Reservation Information

    IMPORTANT: As of February 22, 2021 you cannot book your 3-day hotel online. You must call one of the phone numbers listed on the Government of Canada's official List of Authorized Hotels.

    You must book your 3-day hotel in the city where you land in Canada first (port of entry). For example, if you land in Toronto first, your 3-day hotel must be in Toronto. Once you've completed your 3-day hotel quarantine, you will be able to continue to Vancouver to complete your remaining quarantine.

    If you have not booked your 3-day hotel yet, please use the Quarantine Plan update form to submit your reservation confirmation email after calling the reservation number.

  • Where are you staying for the remaining days 11 days of the 14-day quarantine?

    Quarantine plans will not be approved if you do not have a confirmed accommodation for the remaining 11 days of quarantine.

  • Please choose the option that best describes your quarantine accommodation. Please be aware that the cheapest hotel options in Vancouver may not be suited for full-time study during quarantine (unstable or limited wi-fi, noisy location, etc.) We highly recommend booking with a hotel on Langara's quarantine resources page.
  • Include the name of your hotel or residence, the address and phone number, and a reservation confirmation (for hotel/motel/Airbnb/etc.). Please provide as much information as you have available as it will support your entry into Canada. If this is a shared accommodation, please explain and include COVID safety precautions you will take.
  • It is necessary to have living arrangements prior to arrival in Canada. Please provide as much detail as possible including the address and phone number where you will be living after the 14-day quarantine.

  • Explain how you will have your meals/food and other necessities provided during the remaining 11 days of your quarantine. Please include details regarding COVID distancing and your planned non-cash payment method if you are ordering. Most online ordering services only accept a credit card or a Canadian bank card.
  • Explain how you will be travelling from your 3-Night Quarantine hotel to your 11-Day Quarantine accommodation. to your accommodation. All public modes of transportation to quarantine facility should only be used by people without symptoms. Please include safety steps you will take to help prevent possible COVID-19 exposure for you and the driver or other passengers (if applicable).

  • Health Plan

  • It is important that you perform a COVID self-check each day during quarantine by using the self-check app.

    If you start experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 during your self-isolation period you are required to call 811 (604-215-8110 if calling from a non-local number or Skype) to speak to a registered nurse or call 911 if you are experiencing emergency symptoms and need immediate help. You will also be required to notify the College at safety@langara.ca to ensure the College can provide the necessary report.

    • -that there are travel restrictions, quarantine requirements and other health and safety protocols in Canada and the Province of British Columbia that are applicable to all within Canada and that also apply to international students coming to Canada during this period of the COVID-19 Pandemic;
