Zoom is a web, video, and audio conferencing service that can be used for online classes and meetings. Instructors can use it for online teaching, training, remote support, audio calls, and meetings. Zoom allows for video, audio, and screen sharing between participants. It can be used from any computer, laptop, tablet, or phone, and is compatible on PC, Mac, Android and iOS devices. Collaborative whiteboard and annotation, and remote control of screen. Live polls can be prepared and used during the meeting, with live chat used to ask questions or provide visual feedback. At this time, live captioning is not available. Closed captions can be added and edited using Kaltura MediaSpace.

Instructors cannot control student anonymity, but Zoom provides some solution for holding students accountable for their actions. While students have the ability to change their names, it is possible to limit attendance to Langara users only.
