“The DASSH program was the perfect way for me to explore the social sciences while gaining credit for business and computer courses. This unique combination of requirements makes the offering one-of-a-kind in how it prepares students for their careers. The structure of the program facilitated a lot of transdisciplinary analysis which strengthened my critical thinking skills and confidence as an academic. The DASSH applied courses will also equip you with project management experience that is completely unique to this program. I would recommend DASSH to anyone looking to gain hirable life skills as a part of their education. You will leave DASSH empowered to move into your career with a skillset that far exceeds the results of typical social science or humanities education. The DASSH program is highly transferable if you wish to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree at a university upon completion. After I finished DASSH, I entered UVic as a third year student to continue pursuing my favourite topic from the DASSH program: Geography!”
