This Summer Job Group is a series of one hour sessions to focus on job search, resume, interview and networking for your specific industry and career search. Students and alumni will report back at our bi-weekly job search gatherings. These sessions will take place June 30, July 14, July 28 and August dates to be announced.
Our goal is to build your network in the area of your career goals. Activities will include:
- Bi-weekly check ins on Zoom with full video engagement
- Guest speakers at each event
- Create your prospect list of companies and people to reach
- Techniques to build your network online
- How to ask for LinkedIn connections and opportunities to chat to HR managers and recruiters
- Interview practice with feedback from CCDC instructor and guest speakers
To join you must have:
- A current and active resume
- An active LinkeIn profile
These sessions are for students and alumni who are willing to actively show up (video on in Zoom) and share their research, LinkedIn experiences, and are willing to participate in group activities online. A small, dedicated group of dedicated job seekers!
The maximum group size will be 15 students and preference will be given to those students who participate in the June 16 Job Search Skills workshop. Priority registration will be given to these students until June 19th.
