This Summer Job Group is a series of 1.5 hour sessions that focuses on job search, resume, interview, and networking for your specific industry. Students and alumni will report back on their research findings at our weekly job search gatherings. These sessions will take place June 29, July 6, July 13, and July 20. Students must be willing to attend all sessions to be considered.
These sessions are for students and alumni who are willing to actively show up (with video on Zoom) and share their resume, LinkedIn, personal story, and job search plan. Participants must be willing to share online in group activities.
This will be a small, group of dedicated job seekers! The goal is to build your network in the area of your career goals. Activities will include:
- Create your prospect list of companies and people to reach to
- A targeted career plan with weekly activities
- Weekly Information Interviews and report back (the instructor will help you with contacts)
- Practice Interview live on Zoom sessions
- Interview practice with feedback from CCDC instructor and guest speakers
To join you must have:
- A current and active resume that has been reviewed by the CCDC instructor prior to joining this group
- An active LinkedIn profile
If you need to have your resume or LinkedIn reviewed prior to joining, please register for the LinkedIn workshop and resume drop-in sessions prior to registering for this Summer Group.
The maximum group size will be 12 students and preference will be given to those students who are close to completing their studies and actively looking for work.
If this sounds like a group for you, register by the deadline date of June 28 and you will be contacted by the instructor to ensure you have the documents and you are prepared to participate in the group activity required.
