Use the Groups tool to create groups and group work areas for your students. You can use groups to help students organize their work on assignments and projects.

You can add students to multiple groups within the same course by creating different group categories for different purposes. E.g., a group category for class projects, one for weekly discussions, and one for specific topics assigned to different groups. You can assign specific discussion forums or topics, assignment folders to each group, and grade group members collectively.
