Reporting Academic Misconduct
In order to create a College culture of academic integrity, we must also ensure that students are aware of and experience consequences for a violation of the academic integrity policy. According to the Langara Academic Integrity Policy (F1004):
“The College will investigate all alleged academic integrity violations according to the procedures appended to this document and will impose sanctions when an academic integrity violation has occurred.”
This section will review the importance of formally reporting incidents of academic misconduct (as opposed to faculty and staff managing cases informally), how to formally report cases of academic misconduct, and answer common questions from faculty reporting incidents for the first time.
